So much has happened since the Big Chop post! I am having a love-love-GRRRR! relationship with my hair (see below meme which sums things up in a nutshell):
I love that I decided to go natural but even though I am not a slave to the “creamy crack” or hair extensions, my hair takes work (read: at least an hour a day) and I am not.a.hair.stylist so my mother, my friends, YouTube, and countless blogs have been my go-to. I am loving how healthy it is and have received many compliments thus far.
My friend from Italy came to visit and though anticipated, it was tough trying to entertain my friend, work, take care of my family, an so by the time her week was up with us I was EXHAUSTED. But I was so glad to spend time with her and reciprocate the friendship and hospitality she showed me when I visited Milan!
I still haven’t recovered from our Orlando vacation! And then last week I fell down the stairs (I’m OK–just bruised and cut up a bit) so I decided to take a mental + physical health day the next day.
I have been SLACKING majorly with my fitness. I cannot remember the last time I went to the gym and that is sad, sad, sad. I have been walking a lot but that doesn’t compare to sessions with my personal trainer, some spin classes, and some Zumba toning. However, I haven’t gained but I want to LOSE gosh darn it!
Some great things I am looking forward to in the next few weeks:
Blogalicious 2012 – I co-hosted a Google+ hangout tonight and if this was a precursor for what will happen in Vegas, I am amped!
FitBloggin’ 2012 – I will be live blogging from FitBloggin’— mega excited!
My Gwynnie Bee order! This is a new shopping site for sizes 10 and up and even though my first order was fabulous–neither piece fit well so I am sending it back and I await my new goodies.
The bambinos start school and football season officially started! I love my boys more than everything but getting back to work, the gym, etc is ALOT easier when they are in school! Though I find myself packing ALOT into my day from drop off to pick up and then football practice–dinner–homework–bedtime routine. Weekdays are hectic but we do it and we look cool doing it!
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week – I was invited to a few events and will be making a few appearances. at some amazing shows. Travelling into NYC is fabulous yet costly + timely so I will be only attending events that will rock.my.socks.off.
So much going on and I wouldn’t have it any other way! What’s new with you this September?!!!?
