I am a strong advocate of self-care. As women, we often forget about our own needs to help everyone else putting our own personal, professional, and spiritual needs last. I believe we should take time for ourselves whether it is reading a magazine or book in peace, pursuing a hobby, or having a spa day. I have a very stressful career (read: Public Relations Tops Stressful Careers) and though I am happy to be a business owner and a dream catcher/chaser, I take time for myself often to decompress. I literally feel my body going WOOSAHHHHH when I do this.
One of my favorite self-care activities is spa days. I recently purchased a membership to a spa for month facials and/or massages. This has been great because every month I have an hour dedicated to ME. No ifs, ands, and or buts about. Yes, I know I am lucky to do this but I often take advice from StartUp Princess:
The number one thing I shared was that in all the years that I’ve interviewed women for Startup Princess I have found that those who I admire the most are hiring out the things they don’t need to have ‘personal touch’ with-such as bookkeeping, cleaning, errands, even cooking. For me, I figure that if I make even $1 dollar more by hiring someone else to do it than myself then it’s well money spent to have more help.
WOWSA! I was really blown away with the finished product. It was also a loonnnggg process as they use UV gel to create the nail extensions. I snuck a picture while she was doing my nails:
I definitely LOVE my new look and will keep up my stiletto nails but it’s only Day 2 and you know I may change my mind!
Do you practice self-care? When was the last time you took time for YOU?

Self care is a must! Even if you don't have a budget for it, there's many things you can do yourself. I do my own nails but I love to go to the esthetician to work on my face on a regular
oh my gawsh. This is the 2nd self care post I've read today. Surely I need to take this good advice. God is trying to tell me somethin'. hehe
