Ok, I may be exaggerating but I have had this Nike Fuel Band for months and I have never cracked my daily goal before the evening. I always get a GREAT start in the morning (during my workout) but work grustle aka grind/hustle gets the most of me and sedentary life takes hold.
Between 9:15-10:15 I was at spin class so I was pushing it HARD for an hour. I’m a BIGGER girl but I handle my own on a spin bike. At my old gym (when I was my fittest), I would take a 75 minute spin and pump class and feel like Queen of Zamunda afterwards. I come equipped with my padded shorts and cycle shoes and ready.to.work. Just because I’m not a size 2, don’t discount this big girl! After spin, I went home to catch up with work and then I hustled to the supermarket for provisions.
I actually got to sit down and enjoy a late lunch around 3. I treated myself to a Amy’s mattar paneer meal (delicious) and took five minutes to just eat and look at the “bloom” that is happening outside my kitchen window.
Between 4-6 is always a hectic time. The boys are home, I’m closing out the work day, cooking dinner, checking homework, changing up laundry, washing dishes, straightening up…basically I am running around like a chicken with her head cut off. Today neither of the boys had practice of any kind, so we could actually get to sit down to dinner TOGETHER before the Mister had to catch a flight so I was MOTORING to get Mexican night on the table (turkey tacos on soft and hard tacos and all the fixins’ (salsa, taco sauce, lettuce, organic tomatoes, sour cream, shredded cheese), Southwestern salad, yellow rice, honey cornbread, half/half tea lemonade). Mission accomplished as we all got to see down and enjoy dinner!
I feel great to start of the week with such a band and hoping it will only get better!
