Fashion Meets Function: The Get Fit Diva Wears Athleta City Pants

Who doesn’t love a pair of great fitting pants that will take you from here, there, and everywhere? A few weeks ago, Athleta provided me with a gift card to try out their new City Pants Collection and a few other goodies to facilitate a review. All opinions are mine.

I selected the La Viva Capri to try out. I love Athleta (and wear their items oftens) so I had high expectations to add these capris to my fitness apparel arsenal.

The La Viva Capri has a a silky lightweight material that made it feel ever so comfortable. I loved that the material was gym-ready as well as on the go-ready. The drawstring waistband and four deep zip pockets provided athletic features that will be great for workouts, running errands, or dressing up with a pair of strappy sandals.

For a morning of gym fun, I paired the La Viva Capri with the Athleta Illuminate tank which was a bit sheer but very chic. I loved how long it is so I can tuck it in or leave it out. The tank has a really cool racerback that I couldn’t show because it was chilly (this Spring-ish weather is insane!). It looked great with a lightweight hoodie and my trainers.

The rouching and overall comfort makes these pants.

The stretch (see below ON THE FENCE ON:) really has a lot of give and provides to that super comfy feeling of these pants. I wore these pants to Zumba and I even dressed them up to go to a client event with a kimona jacket, black shirt, and black sandals.

I ordered a size 10 and the pants were snug (read:tight) and that’s my usual size for Athleta bottoms. I didn’t want to size up because my weigh fluctuates and I believe the City Pants look better fitted. So depending if I’m having a good belly day (ladies, do you feel me on this?), I don’t feel the best in these.

I am really feeling my new Athleta apparel (I also ordered some hot yoga shorts that are AMAZING and a casual dress that was a tad too big so may return). My new La Viva Capris are so versatile and can be easily worn from the gym to the street. So excited to rock them again (and again)!

How do you wear your Athleta pants?

Stopping by from the Sweat Pink network to say thanks for your Athleta review! I need a pair (at least!) of versatile pants that will actually fit a non- stick straight frame ;)
