New Year’s is almost upon us and, for yet another year, we’ll be setting resolutions. I know mine include many me-centric resolutions like stop being overly nice (seriously, it’s becoming a problem), working out more, losing weight, the same yada yada. I also have personal and professional goals (not resolutions per say). What if, we all agreed that this year, that instead of being self-centered in our resolutions, we started a good deed movement?
I’m joining my social friends of the #DeedADay movement including The b-Link Marketing Network, Clever Girls, Latina Bloggers Connect, Mom It Forward, Niche Parent, One2One Network, and Type A Parent! Let’s re-think New Year’s resolutions and make ones which do good and have the power to change the world.

Mary Fisher – artist, author and HIV/AIDs activist designed this simple but stunning bracelet strung with 100 beads made by HIV positive and economically fragile women in Uganda, Zambia, Rwanda, Indonesia, India South Africa, and Haiti. These bracelets remind you to do a good deed at every opportunity. Every time you go out of your way to perform a good deed, you move the bracelet’s rubber ring closer to the 100th bead. How’s that for instant gratification?
This is both a fashion statement and a cause to encourage everyone to do a good deed a day. The 100 Good Deeds Bracelets are available for purchase at 100GoodDeeds.org in nineteen colors and two sizes, medium/large or petite/small. One hundred percent of proceeds from sales are reinvested in the 100 Good Deeds program. I’m in awe of all of the women across the web that have agreed to join forces with us to use our voices for social good. Join the movement. Be good – do a #DeedADay!
We’re taking over Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and even Pinterest right after Christmas and up until New Years day with hashtag #DeedADay. We’re on a mission to sweep the web with good deed resolutions! By resolving to do one good deed a day in 2015, you are perpetuating a sustainable, social-good model that will continue to pay it forward to the artists who create these bracelets and anyone whose life you touch on your path to fulfilling your daily deed.
