As I write this, I am reveling in one of the most exciting weekends I’ve had since…Paris. I was able to spend time with those that matter most to me (my husband took me this amazing restaurant for an 8 course chef’s tasting that was out of this world and we had a fun family day of a Mexican brunch and Jurassic world–stellar weekend) and celebrate ushering in another year of my crazy and beautiful life. I also received so many well wishes via phone, text, social media. It has been overwhelming! I do love celebrating my birthday but I also have that slight tinge of sadness that I’m one year older. And I’m still pretty young!
My sons are getting older. Time is passing by too quickly. A few weeks ago I contemplated getting a chemical peel (but opted for just a facial) because I don’t want to get caught up in aging. No wonder it is anti-aging is a billion dollar industry!
What is a girl to do?
Celebrate herself! Not just on your birthday but each and every day.

Let’s take what the signs say…I believe in astrology and I delve more into it during my birth month. According to Yoganonymous:
Saturn, the planet of work, duty, and discipline, just moved out of Sagittarius, where it was creating some work for you to do in your relationships. Now in Scorpio for a short visit, Saturn’s focus will be on your health and wellbeing. This is the perfect time to recharge your body and mind with a new workout, new healthy foods, a cleanse, or a new commitment to self-care.
It is as if the signs aligned perfectly to tell me to stop worrying about getting older and focus on my health and well-being. This is exactly what I will do! So many awesome things are happening this week–GFD is launching new programs and services. My Helix Elliptical has been shipped. Seriously I am a little too excited because I haven’t had a piece of cardio equipment in our home since we moved. My awesome sons and husband bought me a custom pair of Nikes. I borrowed two books from the library: Whole 30 and Hormone Reset Diet.
So instead of (over)thinking about getting older and possibly even more fabulous (!!!), I will focus my energy on the next 30 days for the GET FIT DIVA 30 Day Challenge that starts on Friday! Woot woot!
How do you celebrate your birthday? Are you worried about aging?
