Another month, another fabulous event! On Saturday, I hosted my second FIT SATURDAYS event at the Bloomingdale’s at Bridgewater Commons Mall. The first one was a fun-packed Zumba Fitness and twerkout and this one didn’t disappoint with an exciting SharQui bellydance workout and sculpting class led by Denise Tweedie of BFit4U in Hillsborough.
Event Recap: Bloomingdale’s FIT SATURDAYS Workout Remix
As an Active Ambassador with Bloomingdale’s, I am hosting Spring events at Bridgewater Commons Mall in NJ and checking out the newest and best of active and athleisure. These free events introduce women to new fitness trends (like fitness dance, twerking, cardio Bellydance, and yoga) and allow us to practice much needed self-care due to busy schedules.
I had the pleasure of working out and shopping with Denise at the first FIT SATURDAY event and she is super friendly, knowledgeable about fitness, and has abs FOR DAYS. I was stoked to have her teach May’s workout!
Denise has been working in the Health & Fitness industry since 1998. She earned her Fitness Specialist certification from Raritan Valley Community College and hold certifications as a Health Fitness Specialist from the American College of Sports Medicine, Personal Trainer from The American Council on Exercise and Group Exercise Instructor from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Other certifications include SharQui® The Bellydance Workout, Kickboxing, Mat Science and Group Cycling. She is a licensed Zumba®, Zumba Gold®, Zumbatomic®, Zumba Toning® and Zumba® Step instructor. So to say she is all that and then some if an understatement! She ROCKS!
Denise really brought the action. I had never tried Sharqui before but it is a fun and easy to learn bellydance workout routine that burns calories! Wearing the belly dance hip scarves made it even more enjoyable! All the ladies enjoyed getting their shimmy on.Love bellydance? Check out this Sharqui bellydance workout! Click To Tweet
FIT Saturdays attendees enjoyed exclusive pre-opening access to shop the store and great deals and promotions. The new athleisure offerings were a favorite and I was rocking gear from Spiritual Gangster. They also enjoyed a fun-packed gift bag featuring Premier Protein and Adora Calcium.
Denise also taught sculpting exercises. I felt in my legs and arms the next day! Hurt so good…so glad I got in a good band workout!
I was thankful to meet lots of Denise’s students from her studio, Bloomingdale’s customers who saw the in-store signage, and my sister-friends Monica and Rhonda who came out…and I was super surprised to see Kimberly, from Manifest Yourself at my event. I may have (read: did) squealed when I saw her. You can read her recap here.
All in all, it was a great, feel-good event benefitting Kula for Karma, with a portion of group sales going directly to the organization. Kula for Karma pioneers the integration of therapeutic yoga, meditation, and stress management into mainstream medicine, and healthcare at no cost to populations in need who face physical and mental health challenges in the NY Metro area.
Join us June 11th for the final (and FREE) Spring FIT SATURDAYS for a morning of Yoga with Sherry Fahs of Onyx Studio.
